Economic Growth

Some people say that economic growth is the only way to end hunger and poverty, while others say that economic growth is damaging the environment so it should be stopped. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

The world has been experiencing the increase in economy which is considered to be the solution to poverty as well as hunger by several individuals. Nevertheless, others assume that it is the cause of environment issues. To my point of view, I would argue that this affects humans and nature both positively and negatively.

Doubtlessly, governments in many countries have been applying numerous alternatives to provoke the economy’s growth which makes the residents not suffer from any difficulty in life any more. To illustrate, Vietnam has tried its best for years to improve the relationship with other nations, actively join international conference and raise people’s living standard. This way does contribute to the gradual rise in Vietnamese economy as foreign countries invest more money on Vietnamese geniuses and places, providing modern machines and Vietnam itself also develops industry and other potential fields. Citizens in Vietnam therefore have the high-quality lives with useful equipment, study with effective techniques and have more opportunities to be promoted. As a result, Vietnamese find it easy to buy food and enjoy life everyday.

However wonderful it is, it seems to me that economic increase does have upsides, especially to the environment. People build more accommodation and skyscrapers to meet the growing population’s demand for houses, offices and amenities which lead to air and noise pollution. Moreover, global warming and animal extinction are also due to modernization and urbanization. Humans accept to burn forests which are animals’ habitats to develop farming and cattle ranching, spare spaces for tourist destinations and entertainment places which are for tourism growth. For instance, residents in Ho Chi Minh which is the most developed city in Vietnam face the extreme hot climate and storms in basis life because they risk damaging nature too much, particularly replacing natural forests and botanic gardens for buildings to increase the value of economy.

In brief, I am the opinion that economic development is harmful to nature but benign to humans’ life.

I need your help a lot to get this fixed, so please review everything for me! Thank you and have a nice day!!!!
