What does 'Piranha' mean then?

A piranha is a very aggressive carnivorous fish found in South American rivers.

Please do not double post. You have asked the same question here.

what does it have to do with chess? The whole sentence describes chess endgame.

Piranhas normally attack in groups. They are very dangerous when there are many of them. They are much less dangerous when there are only a few. In the early part of a chess game there are many pieces that can threaten the king. Towards the end many of them have been eliminated, so it is less dangerous for the king to be exposed. Most of the "dangerous piranhas" that could harm the king are gone.

I was asking for the meaning of
1)eat-whether it is actually eating or bothering
2)king-eating piranhas-king bothering bandits or king eating beasts?

"Piranhas" here is a metaphor for "pieces that might threaten the king". They are not literally voracious fish, and they are not literally going to eat the king.

What is the reason for using the metaphor? What is the similarity?

I have already told you in my first post on this thread. If you know anything about chess, you can figure it out yourself.
