eating amorphous and boundryless stuff

Hi,

I think Jim kind of said, if I am not mistaken, that for the items like tea or coffee, the uncountable side deals with their amorphous and boundryless side. OK, let us set the stage where a person is eating and one person approaches him to ask what he is having.

A: Hi, what are you eating?

B: I am eating cake and pie.

My question is "Is B eating the amorphous (shapeless) and boundryless stuff"?
