eat some with every meal

Vegetables are rich in fiber and vitamins, so I try to eat some with every meal.

Hi,
Is it also correct to say "in every meal" instead of "with every meal" in the above? If not, what does "with" refer to? Thanks.

Hi, 'In' would also sound OK. Clive

Thanks, Clive.

But does "in" equal in meaning "with" in the context? Thanks.

I would say only "have some with every meal" or "make them a part of every meal."

I wouldn't use "in" myself.
