Hi
I asked this question a couple of weeks ago, but could not get my point across.
I want to know what mothers (native speakers of English) say to their children when they want them to eat sufficiently/properly so that they do not ask for food an hour or so later. Something like this:
John, I want you to eat __________________. Don't tell me you are hungry at Uncle Hanks'.
Thanks,
Tom
Who composed that? I would imagine that a mother might say something like: John, you should eat/finish your dinner/lunch/meal now. Don't tell me you are hungry at Uncle Hanks' later.
