Hi teachers.
I would like to know What 'eat around' means here. (on TV commercial)
Two campers were chased by two bears and narrowly escaped.
B1: I just wanted to hug them.
B2: I was going to eat them.
B1. I thought you were a vegan.
B2: That's my cheat day so I will just eat around it.
Thanks in advance~~~
If B1 and B2 mean bear no. 1 and bear no. 2, respectively, then the fourth line apparently means: "Although I'm a vegan, typically, on one day of each week, I cheat, and don't adhere to a strict vegan diet, and I decided to make today that day.

I was going to 'eat around [outside of] my usual diet' today by having a meal of campers."
