An "earth tone" refers to a "warm" tone/hue, ranging from dark brown to deep orange; (as opposed to the "cold" tones/hues of green and blue). I wouldn't put "greenish" in earth tones.And yes, "terracotta" is an earth tone, reddish-brown.
