Early - Paraphrase

Hi teachers,
Would 'in the early part of the morning' be a paraphrase for 'early' in the context?
If the paraphrase is right, would there be another word for 'early' in it?
Peter has got lots of time for breakfast because he always gets up early, at 7:00.

Thanks in advance.

The original version specifies a precise time (ie 7:00). 'In the early part of the morning' is an imprecise expression.. Clive:

Hi Clive,

But 'before the expected/usual time', doesn't work either.
Is there one?
