Each have/has to

Hi,

I've recently heard this phrase 'each of us have to create a business plan'. Would it be accepted in academic writing? Does the use of a plural verb add emphasis to the sentence or does 'each' go with either singular or plural with no difference in meaning?

Thanks in advance

Hi, Each of us has to create a business plan. Every one of us has to create a business plan. Each of , each one of and every one of take a singular verb.

  • Hi, Each of us has to create a business plan.
  • Every one of us has to create a business plan.
  • Each of , each one of and every one of take a singular verb.
  • *The use of the plural verb here seems to be very informal.
  • I wouldn't recommend using it.
