Each bought gifts for

Which are correct:
1-We bought gifts for our own wives.
2-We each bought gifts for our own wives.
3-Each of us bought gifts for his own wife.
(Each person has one wife and each person buys more than one gift for his wife.)

4-We bought a gift for our own wives.
5-We each bought a gift for our own wives.
6-Each of us bought a gift for his own wife.
(Each person has one wife and each person buys more than one gift for his wife.)

I think "1" and "4" are a bit unclear. "4" could mean "One gift was bought to be shared by all wives." In "1" the gifts might have been given and received collectively. In "2" and "5" also, the gifts might have been received collectively.
