Each as adjective?

Hi. Please help. Could we use the word "each" as an adjective (as in the example phrase)?

his each step

Yes, you could, but be careful. It does not rest very easily with the determiner.

Sorry I'm confused. Does each mean something, I am not aware of, that would be osmething other than "every single one".

Because it doesn't seems correct to me.

I think you can say "His EVERY step brought more pain to him." (Although "Every step he took..." would sound far more natural) but I'm pretty sure "His EACH step..." will not be correct.

Both seem accceptable to me: it depends on whether you are considering them one by one or all together.

His every step brought more pain.

His each step brought pain.

His each and every step brought pain.

What I said is that 'each' does not sit well with 'his', though 'every' does. I think it may be a matter of idiom.

Well. To me "His each step brought more pain" sounds utterly incorrect.

Could we have some other peoples' oppinions, please?

Yes, I'm happy to wait for further thoughts as well. As I said, I am not so comfortable with it myself. Here's COCA and some other corpora.
