E-mail inquiring about the status of a vacancy.

Dear Users,

Could you please have a look at this e-mail and point out to me any errors and mistakes, both in grammar, vocabulary and form? I'd be most grateful!

Dear Sir or Madam,

I have just noticed the change of status from open to closed for the position of Applied Linguistics Lecturer at BCU Mandley. I submitted my application on June 11th and I was wondering if the status change indicates that the recruitment process has been finished and the position has been filled or if the candidates are still being screened. Since I have not received any formal confirmation or rejection, I am very curious if the recruitment is still on-going. I would be grateful for your reply. All the best, XYZ

Change 'curious if' to 'curious whether'. 'Ongoing' is one word. 'All the best' is too casual; use that with friends.
