[e-mail] could you please have a look?

Dear Users,

Would you be able to have a quick look at the following message and help me find any types of errors/mistakes in it (including punctuation) ?

Dear XYZ,

It's been brought to my attention that in the month of September I had quite a large number of missing work hours. I've given it a quick look and what strikes me is that having put in 161 hours 21min out of 168 total hours, the file says that I still owe the company over 60hours from the previous month. I'd like to know why prior to signing new contracts none of use were informed that the company would be transferring hours from the 2015/2016 academic year into the 2016/2017 academic year? In that case, teachers who have been employed for longer than one year and renewed their contracts are actually being penalized rather than encouraged. As you well know, teaching is not a desk job. We do quite a lot of preparation and grading outside of office. What's more, none of us have been informed that the company had such kind of policy in place.

Also, on a different note, I'd like to ask if and when the company will provide us with proper payslips, clearly stating how our salaries are being taxed. We'd like see in black and white

how it's all calculated.

Best,

BAC

Thank you corrections.

I'd like to ask about this part: I've given it had a quick look

I thought the expression "to give sth a look" is quite commonly used.
