"Dying from opportunities"

Hi,

I'm new to this forum, as you can see. Here's my first question:

When someone says he has been dying from opportunites, what does he mean?

Welcome to English forums! Sorry I can't help with your first question, but I've never heard anyone say that. It's not a common expression.

Emotion: smile Hello and welcome to English Forums,

I'm not familiar with this phrase either, but I have heard of someone who was 'dying

Thanks, khoff. As for the context, here's the whole paragraph, taken from the back cover of a time-management book called Getting Things Done: "For someone who has been dying from good opportunities for years, Getting Things Done came along in the nick of time. David Allen's strategies for getting on top of your workload are unvaluable. Read this book!".
