Dyeing clothes

Dear native speakers,
What do you call a "phenomenon" when you've washed white clothes let's say with a pair of dark blue jeans and when the washing is over the white clothes became light blue....
Can I say my white clothes got dyed in light blue because of the jeans?
or should there be used another phrase ?
Thanks.
