Dust encrusted tabletop

1: Dust encrusted a tabletop.
2: Tabletop encrusted with dust.

Given that the both sentences are correct, in the first 'encrust' is used as a trasitive verb and in the second as intrasitive. Am I correct? "with dust" is an adverbial phrase. Right?

Please help me with the above questions.

No. 'Encrust' is only transitive.



"with dust" is an adverbial phrase. Right? Yes.

We often say 'by dust', to show that dust was the agent of the action.
