The first understatement is made for the 'Ice Age': an extremely cold time during which living things could not survive.

Question) Does 'during which' come together?, and 'during' is not moved somewhere from the which clause?

Yeah, exactly!

That's the point I wanted to know.

I have thought during does not sit at the end of a sentence. So, I thought 'during which' is just one cluster.
