Hi,

Question:
Which sentence is correct?

Sentence1:
Having lived in the US for 10 years between 1999 and 2009, I am able to speak fluent English.
Sentence2:
Having lived in the US for 10 years during the period between 1999 and 2009, I am able to speak fluent English.

Thanks

We are morely to say simply:
"Having lived in the US for 10 years, 1999 to 2009, I am able to speak fluent English.

Or you can assume the interviewer can do math and just say you lived here from 1999 through 2009.

Hi,

Also note that, in the US, it would have to be '1999 through 2009' . In BrE you can say "from 1999 to 2009 inclusive" to make sure 2009 is included.

Hi,

If I use British English, is the correct sentence =

In Brit. Eng., you really wouldn't need to include "inclusive" unless there were legal ramifications and you wanted to cross t's and dot i's.
