During

Hello,

The preposition 'during' has two meanings, one is 'at some point in a period of time' and the other 'all through a period of time'.

1. I slept during the class. (means at some point or all through ?).

I am not able to guess the meaning of ' during' here.

Could any one explain to me?

Thanks.

It could mean either. The writer will have to clarify. For instance:

I fell asleep
