Due to + being + participle

Can you please tell if this sentence is grammatically correct?

The students are moving to the larger building next week due to being outgrown the building.

"...due to overcrowding in the smaller building."

I think a better way to put this, though, would be: "Due to overcrowding, the students will be moving to the larger building next week." OR "The students will be moving to the larger building next week because they have outgrown the smaller building."
