Due our respect

Hi,

"He is due our respect".

Is this sentence, intended to mean, "He deserves our respect", correct?

If this is correct, is there any other examples with the same sentence structure?

"He is due our respect".

That's what it means. There's an added sense that it should in fact be paid.

He was paid our respects. (could be interpreted as passive voice)

Can we slip in a preposition? He is entitled to his share.
