voynichDoes the word sound old-fashioned or regional?I am in the UK and it is not a word I ever hear used (in the relevant meaning). Macmillan Dictionary calls it "American informal old-fashioned". However, Wiktionary (user-generated content) calls it "UK, dated", which is a bit strange. A few other dictionaries that I looked at don't give any specific usage
