Word-final <t> is slightly aspirated in English, but in some languages it is unaspirated and sounds like <d>. To practice aspiration, say the word "team", "tin", "tan" slowly, as slowly as you can, and focus on the initial <t> sound. Notice how a slight flow of air is released after you let the <t> go.
