Drowse at night

- When you're work as a security guard, you have to work in the daytime and work the graveyard shift. If you drowse at night, the thieves might break into the company and steal things.

- Are these 2 sentences grammatical?

The first one should be:

When you work as a security guard you have to work in the daytime and work the graveyard shift. (instead of you're)

The second one is fine, but I'd leave off the "the" in front of thieves, and just say, "...thieves might break into the company..."

But, I think your question was really whether or not you were using drowse correctly as a verb, and
