Letter Writing

Dropping a Subject?

Dear <Dean>

I, <name>, a student of <program>, am writing this letter to request withdrawal from Subject 1 and Subject 2 courses.

Due to the recent demise of my mother last <date>, my attention is being required in several family matters. Since this is supposed to be my last semester, the program is requiring my full attention. Due to my situation, I have decised to pursue the said subjects next year. I have also decided to pursue the Research Subject since my thesis is ongoing and writing the paper can be done at home - where my I could help my family at the same time. I have made this decision after discussions with my family, teachers and supervisors, and after much self-evaluation.

Plesse approve this request and also please allow me to re-enroll next year where I am hopefully to finally graduate.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

<Dropper>
