'drive' vs 'ride'

Could you tell me which one is right between 'drive' and 'ride' among the following sentence? Thank you.

OR ............ I'd rather walk than ride in that!

The 'in' only occurs with 'ride'. And it's 'lemon', not 'lemon car'.
