We do.

Anonymoustake tea
We take medicine. I can't think of any other liquid (coffee, tea, water, ...) for which we commonly use 'take' instead of 'drink'. The use of 'take' for 'drink' is rare in modern English.

Hi,

Personally, I do not "take" tea, but I do take sugar in my tea. Emotion: big smile
