drink as much as you can

Hi, everyone:

You drink as much as you can.
You drink as much of it as you can. ("it" refers to "liquor")

I wonder if both sentences are ok and if the first sentence is incorrect in grammar.

They are both fine.
The second one would be used if discussing/referring to a specific drink.; the first one is a general statement ["If you are unwell, you drink as much as you can"].
