dress casual/ casually

Do you say...

She still dresses very casual.

or

She still dresses very casually.

?

The textbook uses the first one, but I think dress here is a verb which must be modified by a adverb.

Please advise.

An adverb of manner is needed, not an adjective:
She still dresses very casually.
