Dreading the prospect of being asked....

I'm dreading the thought/prospect of being asked to make a speech in front of all scholars.

Does it sound fine with respect to grammar and tone?

'All scholars' sounds a bit unusual. I think you mean 'all the scholars' or 'all those scholars'.
