what is the difference between "dread" and "ill at ease"?

dread is much more serious.

eg I'm going to be executed for murder tomorrow. I'm full of dread. / I dread to even think about it.

eg I have to make a speech in front of my class tomorrow. Speaking in public always makes me feel ill at ease.
