I put this in the bad place first*sorry.
My English teacher gave us each a phrase and asked us to explain it next time.
She gave me
His face was drawn but the curtians were real.
So far I have found out:-
Drawn can be the past of draw. So something that is drawn is not real only q picture.
or it can be when someone is tired so a face can be drawn.
I have found to draw curtains but I am not sure if this is to open or to close them.?
Can you say me if I am missing something or is this it?

His face was drawn 'drawn' here is an adjective, meaning that his face looked strained because of fear, pain or anxiety.
The curtains were drawn 'drawn' here is the past participle of the verb 'draw'. It means the curtains were closed.

Your phrase is intended to be a humorous remark. The humour lies in the fact that it plays with these two meanings of the word 'drawn'.

It's very hard to understand word-based humour in another language. I think your teacher gave you a very difficult assignment.
