1. Does "draw the viewer’s fascination towards" mean "draw the viewer’s attention to" i.e. "make the viewer get fascinated with"?

2. Does "the threat to stable identity" mean "what threatens the stable identity"?

3. Does "as that which" refer to "the expulsion of the abject" or "the abject"?

Context:

In the best of his work, the simultaneous forces of attraction and repulsion draw the viewer’s fascination towards the threat to stable identity as well as propelling him/her to perform the expulsion of the abject as that which reinforces the subject’s boundaries. Some of Mike Kelley’s installations also exhibit this power.
