Hi everyone, Would you say the usage of "drawing a blank" is ok in this sentence:

I need to finish my essay, but I keep drawing a blank.

Would you say the use of "drawing a blank" as meaning "I can't think of anything to write" is OK? My inclination is towards yes. But i'd like a second opinion,
