DRAFT (air)

Can you create a draft?

1 There was a bad odor in the room so we opened the window and doors to create a draft so as to get rid of the smell.

Thank you

Yes, you can. Your long sentence is a little bit awkward. If you eliminate "so as to get rid of the smell," it reads very well, and still has the same meaning.

If your question is, "Is it possible to create a draft?", "Can you create a draft?" is fine.

But I wouldn't say, "Would you please create a draft, to get rid of the smell?"
