One dozen is 12. A dozen eggs, for example, is 12 eggs.

If you have two or more sets of 12 things, then you have dozens of them. "dozens of" can be used to mean a great many. It's only an approximation.

You've done it at least 24 times, I'd say. You've not reached the plural at 12. That's
