Down

Hi teachers,

Would you please help me with the meaning below? Thanks.

1. I am a little down with fever

>> Does "down" here mean "come down with" or "depressed"?

2. I'm down with kids.

>> I couldn't understand this. Is it a slang?

3. After an hour into poker, he's down $10 (from dictionary)

>> He lost $10 or He has $10 left.

4. Get down there and give the patient what he really needs.

>> If you are on the 4th floor, do that mean you physically have to descend down a floor to the 3rd flloor? Or the same 4th floor but it is just you're moving away from the speaker who tells you to do so?

5. Why are you do down on sports?

>> Does it mean you hate sports?

Thank you.
