Doubtful definition for obsequious

(too eager to praise or obey someone)

Could you please check out the definition for 'obsequious' in this dictionary?

http://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/british/obsequious

Is it wrong? Because, to me, it means that one doesn't praise or obey someone because one is too eager.

Do you have the same doubt as me?

Thanks.
