Doubt with "similar"

Hi guys,

I need to say in a sentence that two entities (I'm writing a programming tutorial) works in the same fashion. Can this be correct?:

"Most of the times the wrapped mapper will be the root one, similar to what we saw before for CryptoManager"

The meaning of the sentence should be that the mapper I'm talking about works just like CryptoManager.

Thank you.
