doubt that & question that

Hello. The usage of 'doubt' and 'question' is difficult for me so I would like to ask some help from native speakers.

The sentense in question is;
As a scientist, I doubt that many scholars in the liberal arts would question that science can provide insights useful to scholarship in the humanities.

I understood the upper one like this;
I don't think there are scholars in the liberal arts who believe science cannot provide insights useful to scholarship in the humanities.

Did I figure out the right meaning of the sentense? If didn't, could you give me some explanation?

Thank you.
