doubles down?

Hi,

I am wonder what does this expression means in the sentence "Something doubles down on the comfort factor?"

Does this mean this thing gets even better or not? Is it a compliment or sarcasm?

Thanks!

Hi,

I saw this review on a car (I don't know if I am allowed to list the name on the forum?)

Here it says," *** doubles down on the comfort factor." Does that mean it is more comfortable than before?

Thanks!

It's meant as a compliment.
