double negative

Hi,
How would you correctly say this?
Is the double negative correct? Is especially when or especially now correct?

We can't not give him a present especially when he bought us one not long ago.
We can't not give him a present especially now that he's bought us one not long ago.

Thank you

Anonymous We can't not give him a present especially when he bought us one not long ago. That's OK, though I'd put a comma after 'present'. Anonymous We can't not give him a present especially now that he's bought us one not long ago .
