Double comparative

Hi,

I have a question about using "much" with "get" in comparative form.

"The weather is getting colder and colder every day."

Is it ok if I put "much" in this sentence?

"The weather is getting much colder and colder every day."

Thank you for your help.

No, "much colder and colder" isn't right. "much colder" is OK, of course.
