Dorm room

Hello,

I'd like to ask you what is the equivalent of "dorm room" in British English. Is it a hall room, perhaps?

Thank you

It's definitely not 'hall room'. On the rare occasions we need to use a word for a room with lots of beds, we call it a 'dormitory', or maybe 'dorm' or 'hostel'.

I'm in the US, and based on a search on the internet, it appears that the words "dorm" and "dorm room", as used in the US, are unknown in the UK. The equivalent terms are apparently "intercollegiate hall of residence" (= dorm) and "room" or "flat" (= dorm room).
