There was a certain guy who invented something and he thought he could make some money on his invention, "but after learning that the 1st step in such a venture was to conduct a door-to-door survey to test-market his invention, his interest in business waned".
Does it mean he had to go from house to house and show people how his invention works and ask them if the need something like this?
