Hi,

But get rid of the period.

Why, Clive? It's a sentence.

Hi,

I guess I read it as said in an interrogative tone.
If it's not intended as a question, then keep the period and get rid of the question mark.

This is a prime example of why posters shouldn't write example sentences in the subject line.

However, unless the sentence is quoted material, I don't see how it could be interrogative.

- Don't worry about it, man. Everything's under control.
- "Don't worry about it, man"? Just who do you think you're talking to?
