Don't vs didn't understand?

Hi, everyone.

Could you tell me which one of the following is correct?

I didn't understand what you have just said.

I don't understand what you just said.

Thanks!

It is a slightly awkward question to answer since you have changed two things, but one change does not seem to entail the other, or to necessarily be related to the other. These would be typical: I didn't understand what you just said. I don't understand what you just said.
