dont understand this sentence

how can one pump gas into the wall ? does it make any sense ?

however, can you simplify this sentence ? basically keyword "into the wall " is a cumbersome Emotion: sad

i dont know how many people push gas into the wall ......or this is standard usage which means something else ?
