Don't turn on the air-con in the middle of my sleep

Are my sentences natural English when I have to use them to my brother, who lives in the same room as I?:

-Don't turn on the air-con in the middle of my sleep; otherwise when I am wearing only a few clothes I will catch a cold very easily. Either not turn it on, or turn it on before I go to bed.

Thank you. OJ.

Don't turn on the air conditioner while I'm sleeping. I wear only a little clothing, and I catch cold very easily. Either don't turn it on or turn it on before I go to bed.

So do you think CATCH COLD and CATCH A COLD are the same and the former is better?

Not better, but more familiar to me, that is all.
