Don't try to fit by definitions?

00I think I received a recommendation like the one in the Subject column when I asked a similar question in the General Questions Section in this forum. Should I apply the recommendation here too? I think the recommendation was that don't try to fit the dictionary definition to make sense of a sentential structure or sentential context.02br

00I think one of the definitions given in the dictionary was that it is a process of asking about something and is noted as an uncountable noun and another one is a question is noted as a countable noun. Which one is one that applies here? 0-
